I am university qualified and trained in various counselling modalities from over the past fifteen years. Today I practice Holistic Counselling – because ‘holistic’ includes the ‘all of you’ and as unique individuals I recognise that our cultural, family, religious, spiritual and societal upbringing influences different aspects of us: the way we think, react, respond, feel and understand the world.

Sessions with me are forward thinking, looking at where are you now? Where are you trying to get to? What is in the way? And how can we make the path clear and easy? 

I promise to give you practical and grounded guidance with real life tools and techniques to take away. I work in mental health, emotional health, decision-making and trust, career advice, relationship advice, communication skills, boundary setting, societal issues and more, helping you find your voice and trust yourself.

You can choose a 1-on-1 with me OR upgrade to a package that includes courses also.

The following packages include a 1-on-1 with me. Enjoy the course at your own pace and then come to me with any questions. We can unpack, make sense of and put back together whatever issues need to be dealt with in a balanced, calm and empowered way.

Romi is an acclaimed author, counsellor, TEDx presenter and course trainer. With over fifteen years of experience as a counsellor, she has helped countless adults and teenagers overcome obstacles in mental health, emotional well-being, relationships, life decision-making, communication skills, and self-care to name a few.

Romi also facilitates Professional Development trainings on mental health, emotional well-being and self-care strategies to companies, Non-Government Organisations (NGO's) and schools, even more-so since the beginning of Covid.

Romi is a study junky and world traveller with degrees in Social Science (LaTrobe University), Social Work (Monash University) and further qualifications from Australia in Dealing with Depression, Anxiety and Panic Attacks’, Drug & Alcohol Harm Minimisation, and Suicide Intervention Training. From the US she is trained in Mindfulness-CBT for Resilience (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) at the Center for Mindfulness & Compassion, Cambridge Health Alliance, Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospital, US, and from the UK in Mental Health in the Workplace, Train the Trainer, and Communication Skills.

Romi appears regularly on television, radio, podcast programs and international panels to discuss her books, writing therapy, mental health and self-care practices. Romi’s unique set of skills in writing therapy and counselling, International public speaking and professional writing, inspired her to share her wisdom worldwide through her book The 5-Minute Guide to Emotional Intelligence where she addresses blocks toward journalling and expression and offers a 30-day challenge. Her latest book The Key, A Social Emotional Toolkit for Teens teaches emotional intelligence and practical coping strategies to adolescents and can be used as a school program or in the home.
